Anti Lead, Pokemon of the Week, MACHAMP!!!

Overview: Machamp was alright in all the gens up to generation 4. Oh, my god. The introduction of the ability No Guard, was the call uf duty for Machamp. It brought Machamp up to OU environment because it could now hit with a STAB DynamicPunch that could annhialate anything in the match except for Ghost-Types, and the fact that Stone Edge would always hit was so reassuring you could sit easy on predictions! The four arms make it look like a champ, hence the name! I mean, just look at those arms!  I'd hate to be Hitmonchan! Sadly though, Machamp's reign as one of the best and powerful fighting-types ended slowly, as the introduction of Conkeldurr and Terrakion came in, but Machamp's ability to confuse opponents with a 150 base power attack and a perfectly accurate Stone Edge still remains unbeaten, only challenged by Golurk. Machamp is still a perfect lead, seeing as it can take down many popular leads in OU, so Machamp is still amazing, with it's monster attack, and decent defenses, but terrible speed.

Machamp, the Superpower Pokemon.
Abilities:
-Guts: Raises attack power up to 1.5% when under a status condition. Its okay and would usually be picked, but not in this case.
-No Guard: Ensures all attack on the field will hit. This is the ability that  makes Machamp lethal, the ability to hit with any attack and never miss, absolutely amazing. Especially considering a 150 base power STAB DynamicPunch that inflicts confusion?  YES PLEASE!
-Steadfast: Raises speed everytime the user flinches. Um this ability is pretty useless, seeing as Machamp has such a low speed in the first place. Yea, No Guard is definitely the one that wins this.

Moveset(s):

MaCHAMP in the house (lead):

Moves:
-DynamicPunch
-Ice Punch/Stone Edge
-Payback
-Bullet Punch/Substitute
Item: Lum Berry
EV: 252 attack, 252 HP, 4 speed
Naure: Adamant

This set allows Machamp to be used to full greatness. As a lead, you would not want to face something so threatening like Machamp in the start of a match. Machamp demolishes almost every lead with the coverage it offers, and the confusion add on of DynamicPunch. Stone Edge allows you coverage over flying-types, Ninetales, other fire types, and bug types. Payback works perfectly with Machamp's terrible speed and against Gengar, and Bullet Punch is absolutely amazing, being able to take down Focus Sashers such as Aerodactyl after a simple Stone Edge or DynamicPunch. Substitute is absolutely heartbreaking, with a Lum Berry and nice defenses. Being a Lum Berry lead helps so much, taking care of Gengar's Hypnosis, Whimsicott's Prankster ability, and Breloom's Spore. Your attack is absolutely beastly in this set, and allows great coverage.

Countering Machamp:
Knowing Machamp is extremely easy to outspeed, you have quite a few tactics to defeat Machamp, but it is a bit of a problem, because if running this set, Machamp has a high HP with decent defenses. A Flight Gem Archeops works with Acrobatics, which is a great combo, but Machamp can live a Psychic from Espeon. Mhm. Impressive. If you switch on the first turn and Machamp carries Substitute, you are in big trouble. After a Substitute, Machamp is a tough Pokemon to get past, and usually will force a sacrifice of at least one Pokemon in order to defeat Machamp. Machamp already let alone has good defenses, and after a sub, no status can be inflicted. Taunters have no use for now, and Machamp can ease off the predictions, spamming a powerful DynamicPunch every time, and confusing your Pokemon a lot. Machamp is a tough Pokemon and is pretty cool.

Unexpected Pokemon of the Week!!!! Stoutland!!!

Sorry I've been getting this stuff up so late guys! I've been busy this summer, so here we are! Ah Stoutland.... who would have ever thought that it was pretty good with that stupid moustache of his..... or beard, whatever it is! Stoutland is a pretty bulky Pokemon with average stats, but very well balanced. He also has a very nice movepool, making him very dangerous, but the best thing about him is the sick ability, Sand Rush! We'll talk about it later. Stoutland has no access to powerful ground type or fighting type moves, so if he runs into bulky steels and rocks, he might have a little trouble. But with access to the elemental fangs, a base 80 powered dark type move, and a STAB Return, Stoutland can be very dangerous. His ability Sand Rush allows him to double his speed in a sandstorm, which reaches amazing speeds, allowing it to revenge kill a lot of things in the OU tier. If you are running Stoutland without he ability Sand Rush, it isn't very great....

Abilities:

Intimidate: Lowers the opponent's attack by one stage.
Sand Rush: Doubles speed in a sandstorm and eliminates sandstorm recoil.
Scrappy: Allows user to hit Ghost-types.
Overview: All these abilities are very useful, Intimidate for a set up set, Scrappy for a sweeping set (especially against Mr. Infamous Gengar), but Sand Rush comes out on top for sweeping set and revenge killing.
STOUTLAND!!!!
Possible sets:
Quick killing Stoutland:
Moves:
-Fire Fang
-Crunch
-Return
-Ice Fang
EV: 252 attack, 72 special defense, 72 defense, 112 speed (if  you want complete sweeping potential, max speed and attack, for an amazing 518 speed within sandstorms)
Nature: Adamant
Items: Life Orb/Choice Band

This is probably one of the best Stoutland sets there is, and Stoutland itself is a good Pokemon. With those pretty okay defenses, he can take hits, but likely is 2HKO by powerful shots. But, if in a Sandstorm, Stoutland is EXTREMELY fast, and unable to taken down, unless for a Mach Punch from Conkeldurr. This moveset allows him to have decent defenses, a 492 base attack stat, and (if in a sandstorm) an amazing 448 base speed, which outspeeds a LOT of things. His only downfall is his not really GREAT attack power. But Stoutland's potential is cool!

Gliscor!!! Pokemon of the Week!!

Gliscor!
Opinion: Okay, this Poke is in the OU tier. It is a perfect wall, made for stalling and subbing! Introduced in 4’th gen, Gliscor had little competition as a wall. It has only two weaknesses, but one of them is Ice type, which could deal serious damage with its 4x damage. The other weakness is water type, and Gliscor had little problems with it. Its pre evolution (Gligar) was a popular choice in the UU environment in 3’rd generation, but in 4’th generation with the introduction of a better balanced wall, Gliscor earned it’s spot in the OU environment. In 5’th generation, Gliscor had reached an amazing ability via Dream World: Poison Heal. This unique ability allowed Gliscor better healing methods than Leftovers, which in total made Gliscor an absolutely powerful wall.

Substitute Gliscor:
Ability: Poison Heal: Heals an eight of the Pokémon’s HP when the Pokémon has a poisoned condition.
Item: Toxic Orb
-Substitute/ Swords Dance/ Facade?
-Earthquake
-Toxic
- Taunt
Ev: 184 HP, 252 Attack, 72 Speed
Nature: Jolly, Adamant

I would prefer this set over most sets because of the wall Gliscor, with a perfectly great reason to be favored. Substitute allows you to use a fourth of your HP to scout the team while taking damage. Earthquake is a base power 150 move after STAB, and Toxic is great after a substitute is up, so it can allow you a free turn. The reason substitute Gliscor is so effective is because of its ability Poison Heal and you holding the Toxic Orb. This allows you to restore the damage taken for Substitutes in just two turns. It allows extra stall time, which is always cool. Taunt would allow the three Pokemon no set up, which is also even more useful. Toxic combined with Substitute is a good stalling combo, but not to mention the killer ability Poison Heal, you can stall the opponent for definitely four turns AT LEAST. I wouldn't really put Facade on this set, because Facade isn't the best move to go along with the other moves if you run into Heatran.  This is all why Gliscor was chosen to be on my team.

Pokemon of the Week!!!!!! AGGRON!

AGGRON!!!!!
The Iron Armor Pokemon:

Ummmmmmm…… one of the flaws that almost made me put a different Pokemon on my team, was the terrible typing Aggron received: Rock and steel, which might be the worse one yet. This means a lot of things, lots of resistances, but the weaknesses are fatal and deadly. Water type is common nowadays, and that is a weakness. Fighting types and ground types are the types to watch out for, especially since the two 4x damages are common on team sweepers and tanks. But Aggron has an amazing defense stat, and also an above average attack stat. Its other stats are low, and below average. But, what makes Aggron so dangerous is a new ability: Rock Head. This allows Aggron to use recoil moves without recoil. It’ll explain it later.

SUB PUNCHING!!!
Ability: Rock Head: Receives no recoil from recoil moves.
Item: Leftovers
-Substitute
-Focus Punch
-Magnet Rise/Thunder Wave
-Head Smash
Ev: 120 HP, 252 attack, 132 speed, 6 special defense
Nature: Adamant

My favorite set of Aggron, because of a beastly attack: Head Smash. Now you’re thinking, “WOW. This guy’s insane, he’s choosing an Aggron with Head Smash?!?!?!? Amazing recoil!!!” BUT, Aggron receives a sick ability called Rock Head, which allows recoil moves to be free of their recoil, which now means you have a base power 225 attack (after STAB) with NO recoil. Yea. That’s what I thought. Amazing. Now, don’t think this is the only good thing in your set. With a reliable speed investment, now Aggron could outspeed the Skarmory going for Roost! This is extremely nice. With that many HP ev’s, Aggron could now abuse Substitute, which is another key in this set. Substituting and Focus Punching may be one of the most common combos, but it is powerful. After a secure sub, you could then go for a Magnet Rise, which now makes you Levitate, so now you lose one of your worst nightmares, ground moves. Or instead, you could set up a substitute by using Thunder Wave, and hoping for the Para-Hax, but I’d prefer forgetting about one of your greatest KO shots. Absolutely crazy, you just turned one of the worst Pokemon in UU into a Pokemon deserving of a spot in OU. :D

Pokemon of the Week! NINJASK!!!

Okay. So this Pokemon of the Week is pretty cool. NINJASK. The ninja Pokemon. Ahh, a new addition to any speedy sweeping team. Kind of in the UU environment, due to its lack of defense, which is its only huge flaw. Its speed is the second highest in the entire game, and it is the fastest  Pokemon that is not a legendary. Amazing huh? Its base stats are pretty cool, its only downfalls being the suckish defenses. Its ability allows Ninjask to sweep a team quickly, and Baton Pass effectively.
Ability: Speed Boost- Raises speed one stage every turn.
Held Item: Focus Sash
Ev's: Max out in attack, while split any remaining EV's in defense and special defense and speed IF you want
Nature: Adamant
Moveset:

BatonJask:
-Baton Pass
-X-Scizzors
-Swords Dance
-Dig/Aerial Ace

BatonJask is my favorite moveset, because of Ninjask's ability to Baton Pass so effectively and well. The only hinderance you need to watch out for, is Ninjask's defenses. Thats why the EV's should be split between them. First of all, you use Swords Dance, boosting your attack two stages, and the opponent can do some things: Set up for a sweep, set up entry hazards, or attack. Don't forget you have the ability Speed Boost, so if he decides to attack OR set up, you will gain one stage of speed. If he sets up for a sweep, the next turn you can Swords Dance again, considering you have a Focus Sash on, so you would be able to survive the hit. This now means you have either two stages of attack and one stage of speed pepped up, or four stages of attack and two stages of attack pepped up. This will allow you to Baton Pass, or sweep the entire team. Your speed is unlikely to be outbeaten, so you have two options: Switch to a bulkier Pokemon that can withstand attacks unlike Ninjask, or go for the sweep. X-Scizzors is a fantastic move, with 120 base power (after STAB), Dig is cool because you can not only take down rock types and fire types, but stall for an extra turn, meaning another stage of speed is being added, and Aerial Ace is a move that never misses wit 90 base power (after STAB).

Thanks for subscribing, I hope people will find the new website! And next week's Pokemon of the Week will be a special Pokemon of the third generation, a huge battle tank, a sweeper, and a Pokemon that Ninjask COULD Baton Pass off to. THANKS!
