Pokemon of the Week! NINJASK!!!

Okay. So this Pokemon of the Week is pretty cool. NINJASK. The ninja Pokemon. Ahh, a new addition to any speedy sweeping team. Kind of in the UU environment, due to its lack of defense, which is its only huge flaw. Its speed is the second highest in the entire game, and it is the fastest  Pokemon that is not a legendary. Amazing huh? Its base stats are pretty cool, its only downfalls being the suckish defenses. Its ability allows Ninjask to sweep a team quickly, and Baton Pass effectively.
Ability: Speed Boost- Raises speed one stage every turn.
Held Item: Focus Sash
Ev's: Max out in attack, while split any remaining EV's in defense and special defense and speed IF you want
Nature: Adamant
Moveset:

BatonJask:
-Baton Pass
-X-Scizzors
-Swords Dance
-Dig/Aerial Ace

BatonJask is my favorite moveset, because of Ninjask's ability to Baton Pass so effectively and well. The only hinderance you need to watch out for, is Ninjask's defenses. Thats why the EV's should be split between them. First of all, you use Swords Dance, boosting your attack two stages, and the opponent can do some things: Set up for a sweep, set up entry hazards, or attack. Don't forget you have the ability Speed Boost, so if he decides to attack OR set up, you will gain one stage of speed. If he sets up for a sweep, the next turn you can Swords Dance again, considering you have a Focus Sash on, so you would be able to survive the hit. This now means you have either two stages of attack and one stage of speed pepped up, or four stages of attack and two stages of attack pepped up. This will allow you to Baton Pass, or sweep the entire team. Your speed is unlikely to be outbeaten, so you have two options: Switch to a bulkier Pokemon that can withstand attacks unlike Ninjask, or go for the sweep. X-Scizzors is a fantastic move, with 120 base power (after STAB), Dig is cool because you can not only take down rock types and fire types, but stall for an extra turn, meaning another stage of speed is being added, and Aerial Ace is a move that never misses wit 90 base power (after STAB).

Thanks for subscribing, I hope people will find the new website! And next week's Pokemon of the Week will be a special Pokemon of the third generation, a huge battle tank, a sweeper, and a Pokemon that Ninjask COULD Baton Pass off to. THANKS!

  1. BatonJask in my opinion is a bit cliche to my type of battling :L I agree with the Speed Boost and Sword Dance combo plus the way you would also split your EV's :3
    My moveset for BatonJask if i ever play it :o
    -Baton Pass
    -Sword Dance
    -Substitute
    -X-Scizzors/Aerial Ace

    It would carry Leftovers as it's item and it's nature would be Jolly z: EV for Attack power should be 250 and I put the extra 2 ev's that are suppose to be in attack into health with should be now 178 leaving your speed EV's at 80.

  2. i really dont like ninjask just because of the moveset. It just doesnt seem like a good enough selection. I like shedinja because even though it also has poor move choice at least it has wonder guard.BTW......Mostly doing it for points, but yeah thts what i really think

  3. I love Ninjask but is easily predicatable, so I wouldn't reccomend it as a baton passer with all the priority running around now. Anyways the point of nijask is not to try and get the Swords dance, (You should if you can) but to accumalte maximum speed boosts. So I would reccomend using this set.

    -Substitute
    -Protect
    -Swords Dance
    -Baton Pass

    If you suspect a taunt in the next turn Baton Pass on that turn to somone who has lots of attack but abbysmal speed, such as Aggron or Conkledurr. The combo is amazing, and can leave your opponents in the dust.

  4. Agreeing with Pastry Bomb and CheeseCake-Kun, substitute is a MUST HAVE move on Ninjask, considering his really terrible defenses, and this allows you to operate behind the sub and get at least ONE stage of speed boosted each turn. Pastrybomb, you earn two points, becasue both sets are better than the one I said up there. I don't know why I put this set, I am stupid I didn't realize it. >.< But a word to each of you:

    @CheeseCake-Kun:
    I realize now the point of Ninjask is not offensive at all, but to gain the speed or attack that Patry Bomb said, as seeing his attack power and defenses, if one hit would land, Ninjask would be KO'd. I would actually use Pastry Bomb's set, because it is plain smart and quick.

    @Pastry Bomb:
    Just amazing, I don't know why I missed this. It was my original set, but after looking at stupid people's sets online, I might have changed it. :) Thanks for your contribution.

    Cheese Cake Kun and Dark Blazekin earn one point.
